Mikael Ymer (born September 9, 1998 in Skövde ) is a Swedish tennis player .

Career

Mikael Ymer mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . In 2014 he started the qualifying competitions in Båstad and Stockholm thanks to a wildcard . He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in October 2015 in Stockholm , for which he had also received a wildcard.

In the same year he reached the final in the junior competition at Wimbledon , which he lost to Reilly Opelka . He also made his debut for the Swedish Davis Cup team that year against Denmark , where he won both of his singles games.

In 2016 he and his brother Elias won the double competition in Stockholm . The two were in the main field thanks to a wildcard.
