Tallon Griekspoor (born July 2, 1996 in Haarlem ) is a Dutch tennis player .
Career
Tallon Griekspoor started playing tennis at the age of seven. His older twin brothers Kevin and Scott also play tennis, but are well behind him in the world rankings. Griekspoor mainly plays on the Future and Challenger Tour. So far he has won five singles and seven doubles on the Future Tour. On the Challenger Tour he made it to the semi-finals in the singles in Alphen aan den Rijn , which he lost to Tommy Robredo . His greatest success in doubles was a final in Scheveningen at the side of Tim van Rijthoven .
Griekspoor made his debut on the ATP World Tour in Rotterdam . In the singles he received a wildcard and met Gilles Müller in the first round , to whom he had to admit defeat 3: 6, 2: 6. With his partner Niels Lootsma he qualified for the double field . There he lost to number 2 seeded Spaniards Feliciano and Marc López . In 's-Hertogenbosch he again received a wildcard for the single and double competition. In the singles he lost his opening match against the qualifier Vasek Pospisil in two sets. With David Pel he could not celebrate any success in doubles either and was defeated by the duo Santiago González and Adil Shamasdin . He achieved his best placement in the world rankings in October 2017 with a 233rd place.
In July 2018 he won his first title on the Challenger Tour in Tampere . He moved into the final without losing a set, which he won in three sets against Juan Ignacio Londero . With this success he made it into the top 200 for the first time.
In 2019 he made his debut for the Dutch Davis Cup team .
