Niels Lootsma (born August 15, 1994 in Groningen ) is a Dutch tennis player .

Career

Niels Lootsma mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Future Tour and ATP Challenger Tour . So far he has won two singles and twelve doubles on the Future Tour. His greatest success on the Challenger Tour was his entry into the double semi-finals in Scheveningen alongside Sander Arends . In the individual, he could not yet qualify for the main draw of a Challenger tournament.

In 2017 Lootsma made his debut on the ATP World Tour . Together with Tallon Griekspoor, he qualified for the double competition at the ATP World Tour 500 tournament in Rotterdam . In the first round he was defeated by the second seeding list Spaniards Feliciano López and Marc López in two sets. His best place in the world rankings in singles was 423rd in July 2017, while in doubles he was already 252nd.
