The Generali Open 2018 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 30th to August 4th 2018 in Kitzbühel . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on a clay court. That same week the Abierto Mexicano de Tenis Mifel was played in Los Cabos and the Citi Open in Washington, DC . The latter belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the other two tournaments belonged to the lower endowed ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champions were Philipp Kohlschreiber in singles and Pablo Cuevas and Guillermo Durán in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 501,345 euros; the total financial liabilities were 561,345 euros.

The qualification took place on July 28 and 29, 2018. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
