The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships 2018 was a tennis tournament that took place in Dubai from February 26th to March 3rd, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Abierto Mexicano Telcel was played in Acapulco and the Brasil Open in São Paulo . Like the tournament in Dubai, the former was part of the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the tournament in São Paulo was part of the lower endowment category ATP World Tour 250 .

Andy Murray was the defending champion in singles, in doubles Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecau won last year.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 2,623,485; total financial liabilities were $ 3,057,135.

qualification

The qualification took place from February 24th to 25th, 2018. Four qualifier places were played out in singles and one place in doubles, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
