The BB&T Atlanta Open 2018 was a tennis tournament that took place in Atlanta from July 23 to 29, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week, the J. Safra Sarasin Swiss Open Gstaad took place in Gstaad , which, like the BB&T Atlanta Open, were part of the ATP World Tour 250 , and the German Tennis Championships , which were part of the ATP World Tour 500 category , in Hamburg .

The defending champions were John Isner in singles and Bob and Mike Bryan in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize pool was $ 642,750; total financial liabilities were $ 720,410.

The qualification took place on July 21-22, 2018. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
