Emil Reinberg (born April 20, 1997 in Atlanta , Georgia ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Emil Reinberg played with the juniors on the ITF Junior Tour until 2015, where his best placement in the junior world rankings was a 44th place in January 2015. He played in the round of 16 at Wimbledon 2015 and the same in the Orange Bowl in 2014.

Reinberg played his first professional match on the third-rate ITF Future Tour in mid-2015, where he lost in doubles at the start. A year later in his third future tournament he won his first title, in the singles he managed to reach two semi-finals in 2017, where he lost to Christian Harrison and Michael Mmoh respectively . Because of his studies in marketing at the University of Georgia , which he started in 2015 , the American cannot regularly take part in tournaments. He plays tennis on the Bulldogs College team . By performing well there, he earned a wildcard for the ATP World Tour event in Atlanta . Here he was defeated in doubles on the side of Jordan Cox Wesley Koolhof and Artem Sitak in the match tie-break . In April 2019, he achieved his best ranking of 728 in the world rankings.
