The Mutua Madrid Open 2018 was a tennis tournament that took place in Madrid from May 6th to 13th, 2018 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2018 and was played outdoors on sand. This season it was the fourth of nine tournaments in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category .

The defending champions were Rafael Nadal in singles and Łukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each received a bye for the first round. The total prize money was 6,200,860 euros; the total financial liabilities were 7,190,930 euros.
