Dennis Novak (born August 28, 1993 in Wiener Neustadt ) is an Austrian tennis player .

Career

Dennis Novak mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated seven single and three double victories on the Future Tour.

He made his singles debut on the ATP World Tour in July 2013 at the Bet-at-home Cup Kitzbühel , where he qualified for the main field, but clearly failed in the first main round against Andreas Haider-Maurer in two sets.

In 2016 he played for the Austrian Davis Cup team for the first time .

In April 2019, he won his first title on the Challenger Tour in Taipei . Through this success he reached a new career high with 122nd place.

In 2020 he took part in the first edition of the ATP Cup at the side of Dominic Thiem, in which they failed against Croatia and Poland. At the Australian Open , he made it into a main field of a Grand Slam for the fourth time through qualification . There he failed in the first round against Hubert Hurkacz in five sets.
