Greg Jones (born January 31, 1989 in Sydney , New South Wales ) is an Australian tennis player .

Career

Greg Jones mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour , but occasionally also on the ATP World Tour .

So far he has celebrated two single and two double victories on the ITF Future Tour. On the higher endowed ATP Challenger Tour he has so far been in an individual final five times, but has not won any of them. On the ATP World Tour he made his debut in January 2007 in the doubles competition at the Australian Open . At the side of Brydan Klein he played in the first round against the duo Ashley Fisher and Tripp Phillips and lost clearly in two sets with 4: 6 and 0: 6. In the individual competition, he played his first game on the ATP World Tour a year later. In Sydney he received a wild card from the tournament management and competed in the first round against the Argentine Agustín Calleri , against whom he lost in two sets.

He achieved his best individual placement on April 26, 2010 with position 179 in the tennis world rankings .
