Max Jacob Schnur (born February 15, 1993 in Richmond , Virginia ) is an American tennis player .

Career

College tennis

Max string studied until 2015 at the Columbia University , the specialist Economics . During this time he played college tennis and won the double title with Ashok Narayan at the US indoor championships in 2013 .

Professional tour

Schnur mainly plays in the second and third class tournaments of the ITF Future Tour and ATP Challenger Tour . There he appears almost exclusively in the double competitions. So far he has celebrated six double titles on the Future Tour. On the Challenger Tour he celebrated his first title win in 2016 in Drummondville . With James Cerretani he prevailed in three sets against the duo Daniel Evans and Lloyd Glasspool . In Quito cord had in 2017 its premiere at the ATP World Tour alongside Hans Podlipnik . They won their opening match against the brothers Giovanni and Nicolás Lapentti in three sets. In the quarter-finals, they lost out in two sets against the later finalists Julio Peralta and Horacio Zeballos . In the same year Schnur qualified with Hsieh Cheng-peng for the doubles competition at Wimbledon . There they had to admit defeat Marcin Matkowski and Max Mirny in three sets. The appearances with James Cerretani in Umag and Gstaad ended with two first round defeats.
