Filip Peliwo (born January 30, 1994 in Vancouver ) is a Canadian tennis player .

Career

Filip Peliwo mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour .

So far he has celebrated three single victories on the Future Tour and two double victories. On the Challenger Tour he celebrated his first triumph in November 2017 in Knoxville . As a qualifier, he was able to win the final against Denis Kudla in straight sets. His greatest successes are winning the Junior Grand Slam tournaments at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2012. As a result, on September 7, 2012, he led the junior world rankings for the first time.

He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in August 2013 at the Canada Masters , where he received a wildcard from the tournament management . In the first round he benefited from the abandonment of his opponent Jarkko Nieminen and at the same time moved into the second round on his debut. There he was defeated in three sets by Denis Istomin 3: 6, 6: 3 and 3: 6. Due to his Challenger success he reached the top 200 of the tennis world rankings for the first time .
