David Pérez Sanz (born May 15, 1994 ) is a Spanish tennis player .

Career

Pérez Sanz mainly plays on the lower class ITF Future Tour and ATP Challenger Tour . So far, he has won 13 singles and 39 doubles on the Future Tour.

At the beginning of his career he only played future tournaments. In 2012 he qualified for a Challenger tournament for the first time in Seville , but lost his opening match. In 2015 he moved up to the semi-finals with James Duckworth at the Challenger in Anning , but had to admit defeat to the eventual winners Bai Yan and Wu Di. After he failed again in the semifinals a year later in Moscow , he achieved his first triumph on the Challenger Tour in July. At the side of Max Schnur , he defeated the pairing Steven De Waard and Andreas Mies in Tampere in the final in straight sets. In the same year he took part in the qualification of the US Open , but lost, as before at Wimbledon , already his opening match. In 2018 he won his second double title with Andrés Artuñedo Martinavarro in Segovia . His best place in the world rankings is a 216th place in singles and 158th place in doubles.
