The US Men's Clay Court Championships 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place in Houston from April 9th to 15th, 2012 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played on clay court. In the same week the Grand Prix Hassan II was played in Casablanca , which, like the US Men's Clay Court Championships, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category .

In the individual Ryan Sweeting went to defend his title, but he was eliminated in the quarterfinals. In this year's final, Juan Mónaco won in three sets over John Isner . This was his first triumph in Houston, the second ATP title in 2012 and the fifth overall in his career. Isner, on the other hand, lost to Indian Wells for the second time in 2012 in an ATP final.

Last year's winners in doubles, Bob and Mike Bryan , did not take part in the tournament this year. This year's double competition was won by James Blake and Sam Querrey , in the final they defeated Treat Conrad Huey and Dominic Inglot . This was their first joint title, Blake was able to win in 2004 with another partner in Houston. Overall, it was the sixth ATP double title of his career for Blake and the fourth for Querrey.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.
