The Crédit Agricole Suisse Open Gstaad 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from July 16-22, 2012 in Gstaad . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played on clay court. In the same week, the BB&T Atlanta Open and Hamburg the Bet-at-home Open German Tennis Championships were held in Atlanta . The tournament was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category , as was the tournament in Atlanta. In contrast, the tournament in Hamburg belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

The defending champion in the singles was the Spaniard Marcel Granollers , who this year after a bye in the first round, lost his opening game against Łukasz Kubot in two sets and was eliminated in the round of 16. In this year's final, the top seeded Serb Janko Tipsarević , who won his first clay court tournament a week ago, and the tournament winner of 2009 Thomaz Bellucci faced each other. Bellucci secured his second victory in Gstaad and his third tournament victory in his career after losing the starting set. In doubles, František Čermák and Filip Polášek were the defending champions. While Polášek did not take part in any tournament that week, Čermák played at the Hamburg tournament. In this year's final, the Spanish duo Marcel Granollers and Marc López won in two sets against the two Colombians Robert Farah and Santiago Giraldo , who were each in their first ATP double final. After winning the Rome Masters 2012 , it was the second joint title for the two Spaniards.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.
