The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 15 to 22, 2012 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France, near Monaco . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played on clay court. This season it was the third of nine tournaments in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category .

Rafael Nadal won the singles tournament for the eighth time in a row by beating world number one Novak Đoković in the final . In doubles, the Bryan brothers were able to successfully defend their title from the previous year.

The former world number three and French Open semi-finalist of the year 2006 Ivan Ljubičić , who has his main residence in Monte Carlo , ended his professional career after his first round defeat by Ivan Dodig, as previously announced.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each got a bye into the second round.
