The Moselle Open 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from September 17th to 23rd, 2012 in Metz . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week, the St. Petersburg Open was played in St. Petersburg , which, like the Moselle Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

The defending champion in the singles was Jo-Wilfried Tsonga , who competed at the top this year. He reached the final again this time and secured his second title in Metz with a clear two-set win over Andreas Seppi . The defending champions Jamie Murray and André Sá were in doubles, but they were eliminated in the first round. In the final, Nicolas Mahut and Édouard Roger-Vasselin won against Johan Brunström and Frederik Nielsen . This was the French duo's third title of the season, and they also won the previous two titles in French indoor hardcourt tournaments.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.
