The Grand Prix Hassan II 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 9th to 15th, 2012 in Casablanca . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played on clay court. In the same week, the US Men's Clay Court Championships were played in Houston , which, like the Grand Prix Hassan II, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

In the purely Spanish individual final, defending champion Pablo Andújar met Albert Ramos , who was in an ATP final for the first time in his career. Andújar prevailed in two sets and was able to defend his title. This was his second title win in Casablanca and also the second ATP title of his career.

Last year's winners in doubles, Robert Lindstedt and Horia Tecău , did not take part in the tournament this year. In this year's double-final Dustin Brown and Paul Hanley won in two sets over Daniele Bracciali and Fabio Fognini . Since the two had never competed together in an official tournament before, this was logically their first joint title. Hanley had previously won 25 ATP titles, while Brown had only won one so far.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round.

qualification

The qualification took place from April 7th to 9th, 2012. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
