Mehdi Ziadi (born September 20, 1986 in Rabat ) is a Moroccan tennis player . Since 2015 it has been listed as inactive on the ATP homepage.

Career

Mehdi Ziadi mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated two single and four double victories on the Future Tour.

He made his debut in singles on the ATP World Tour in April 2004 at the tournament in Casablanca , where he failed in the first main round to Julien Boutter . The same happened to him in 2009 and 2011-2013, where he failed in the same tournament as a wildcard holder in the first main round.

He had his first appearance on the ATP World Tour in doubles together with Talal Ouahabi , with whom he formed a doubles pair, at the Grand Prix Hassan II in Casablanca in April 2006. Here they lost their first round game clearly against Mounir El Aarej and Mehdi Tahiri . In 2008 he won a game in doubles on the World Tour for the only time in his career so far. At the side of Mohamed Saber they won the first round against Benjamin Becker and Tomáš Cibulec just in the champions tie -break before they finally failed in the quarterfinals to Agustín Calleri and Pablo Cuevas . In the years 2009, 2010 and from 2012 to 2014 Ziadi lost his opening games with various Moroccan doubles partners and was therefore eliminated.

Mehdi Ziadi has played for the Moroccan Davis Cup team since 2004 . For this he competed in 18 matches, with a balance of 2: 4 in singles and 10: 5 in doubles.
