Talal Ouahabi (born January 8, 1978 ) is a retired Moroccan tennis player .

Career

Ouahabi was able to climb to 81st place in the junior ranking list on the Junior Tour at the end of 1996.

His transition to the pros began at an early age, often benefiting from wild cards at tournaments in his home country and made his individual debut on the ATP Tour in 1999 at the tournament in Casablanca . He was 116th in the world rankings to Vincenzo Santopadre in two tie-breaks. After he had reached his first final on the ITF Future Tour in 1998, he played no more tournaments until 2002; In 2003 he was again among the best 800 tennis players in singles and doubles. He also won his first future title in doubles that year.

In the individual, he won the Futures 2006 for the first time and was able to win two titles in a row and thus move into the top 500 in the world. In 2008 he won three futures in singles and two more in doubles, which made him career highs in mid-2009. The Moroccan could not prevail on the higher endowed ATP Challenger Tour , at this level he only won two matches. On the World Tour, too, he was unable to make his two individual matches victorious in 1999 and 2003. He played from 2005 for the Moroccan Davis Cup team , for which he can show a record of 5: 7.
