Isabella Tovaglieri

Isabella Tovaglieri (born June 25, 1987 in Busto Arsizio ) is an Italian politician of the Lega Nord . Since July 2, 2019, she has been a member of the European Parliament of the Identity and Democracy (MENL) party in the Identity and Democracy (ID) group.

Life

Tovaglieri graduated from the state humanistic high school Daniele Crespi in her hometown . In 2013, she graduated from the Carlo Cattaneo University in Castellanza with a degree in law .

In June 2011 she became a member of the municipal council in Busto Arsizio and vice-chair of the committee for culture, education, sport, leisure and youth issues. After the local elections in June 2016, she was elected City Councilor for Urban Planning, Building and Heritage. From October 2017 until the beginning of September 2019 she was Vice Mayor of Busto Arsizio.

After the European elections in 2019 , she became a full member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy , the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality and the Delegation for relations with South Africa as well as deputy in the 9th electoral term beginning July 2, 2019 Member of the delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries for the Identity and Democracy Group (ID).
