Daniele Crespi
Daniele Crespi (* 1597 in Busto Arsizio , Varese , † July 19, 1630 in Milan ) was an Italian painter .
Crespi was the son and student of Giovanni Battista Crespi . Its coloring is similar to that of Carracci. The coloring is very strong, both in oil and on lime . The soulful expression on the faces of his saints is particularly appealing. In the Passion Church of Milan , where his great Descent from the Cross is also located, he left many portraits executed in the best of Titian taste. His last paintings from the life of St. Bruno in the Charterhouse in Milan are considered his best.
Daniele Crespi died on July 19, 1630 as a result of a plague . In his birthplace, in Busto Arsizio, Italy, the high school for human sciences and language, the Istituto di Istruzione Secondaria "Daniele Crespi" is named after him.
