Busto Arsizio ( Büsti Gràndi in the local West Lombard dialect) is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Varese in the Lombardy region .

geography

The municipality is located between Milan (35 km southeast) and the southern end of Lake Maggiore near Sesto Calende (about 30 km northwest). It covers an area of ​​30.27  km² . The localities of Borsano and Sacconsago belong to Busto Arsizio . The neighboring municipalities are Cassano Magnago , Castellanza , Dairago (MI), Fagnano Olona , Gallarate , Legnano (MI), Magnago (MI), Olgiate Olona and Samarate .
