Brebbia is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Varese in the Lombardy region .

geography

The municipality is located about 17 kilometers west-northwest of Varese on the Bardello , it borders directly on Lake Maggiore on the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola and covers an area of ​​6.3  km² . Brebbia includes the Bozza di Lago , Brebbia Superiore , Cascina Cucù , Case Piano , Ghiggerima , Giardinetto , La Chiesuola , Ronchèe , Ronco , Uccelliera and Villaggio Europa fractions . The neighboring municipalities are Ispra , Malgesso , Travedona -months , Besozzo and Belgirate (VB).

Brebbia Castle was destroyed in 1263. The St. Peter and Paul Church is still preserved.
