Mornago is a northern Italian municipality ( comune ) in the province of Varese in Lombardy .

geography

The municipality is located about 9 kilometers southwest of Varese . The Strona flows through the municipality . Mornago was formed in 1869 as a merger of today's districts of Montonate , Crugnola and Vinago . The neighboring municipalities are Arsago Seprio , Besnate , Casale Litta , Crosio della Valle , Sumirago and Vergiate .
