Dumenza municipality in the province of Varese

Dumenza is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Varese in the Lombardy region .

geography

The municipality is located about 23 kilometers north-northwest of Varese on the border with the Swiss canton of Ticino and belongs to the Comunità montana Valli del Verbano . It covers an area of ​​18.49  km² . Dumenza includes the Runo, Stivigliano, Due Cossani, Trezzino, Vignone and Torbera fractions. The Lago Maggiore is located three kilometers west of Dumenza.

It borders on the following municipalities: Agra , Astano (CH-TI), Curiglia con Monteviasco , Luino , Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca , Miglieglia (CH-TI), Monteggio (CH-TI), Novaggio (CH-TI) and Sessa ( CH-TI).
