Gerenzano is an Italian commune ( comune ) in the province of Varese in the Lombardy region .

geography

The municipality is located about 24 kilometers northwest of Milan , about 23 kilometers south-east of Varese on Parco degli Aironi and covers an area of ​​9.0  km² . Gerenzano borders the metropolitan city of Milan and the province of Como . The neighboring municipalities are Cislago , Rescaldina (MI), Rovello Porro (CO), Saronno , Turate (CO) and Uboldo .
