The Kremlin Cup 2012 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 15 to 21, 2012 in the Olimpijski in Moscow . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2012 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week the If Stockholm Open were played in Stockholm and the Erste Bank Open in Vienna , which, like the Kremlin Cup, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion in the singles was Janko Tipsarević , who took part in the Erste Bank Open that year and was eliminated in the semifinals. This year's winner was Andreas Seppi , who defeated the Brazilian Thomaz Bellucci in three sets with 3: 6, 7: 6, 3 and 6: 3 in the final. For Seppi it was his fourth participation in the finals this year, with two wins. It is the third title on the ATP World Tour in his career . In doubles, František Čermák and Filip Polášek were the defending champions. Čermák took part in the Kremlin Cup with Michal Mertiňák and was seeded number one, while Polášek took part in the Erste Bank Open with Julian Knowle . Čermák and Mertiňák were able to prevail in the final against the unseeded duo Simone Bolelli and Daniele Bracciali 7: 5 and 6: 3.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players each received a bye into the second round.
