The Kremlin Cup 2009 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 19-25 , 2009 in the Olimpijski in Moscow . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2009 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week, the If Stockholm Open was played in Stockholm , which, like the Kremlin Cup, was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Last year's winner in the individual was Igor Kunizyn , who failed in the first round this year. In the final, Russian Michail Juschny , who was seeded three, won against seed list sixth Janko Tipsarević 6: 7, 5 , 6: 0, 6: 4 and thus won his fifth career title. Serhij Stachowskyj and Potito Starace did not defend their title in doubles . The final was won by Pablo Cuevas and Marcel Granollers , who were seeded three. They prevailed against František Čermák and Michal Mertiňák , who started the tournament on one, with 4: 6, 7: 5, [10: 8].

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 1,000,000 and total financial liabilities were $ 1,080,500.

The qualification took place from October 17th to 19th, 2009. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
