Mikhail Sergejewitsch Birjukow ( Russian Михаил Сергеевич Бирюков , English transcription: Mikhail Biryukov ; born April 28, 1992 in Moscow ; † October 8, 2019 ibid) was a Russian tennis player .

Life

Mikhail Biryukov played in his career, which began in 2009, mainly on the ITF Future Tour . He won three single and three double victories on the Future Tour.

He made his debut in singles on the ATP World Tour in October 2009 at the Kremlin Cup in Moscow, where he received a wildcard for the main field, but there he clearly failed in two sets in the first main round against Serhij Stachowskyj . His second and last appearance followed in September 2013 when he qualified for the St. Petersburg Open and lost there in the opening game against Guillermo García López . 2013 was his most successful year, with three futures he was able to play in the top 300 of the individual world rankings. On the ATP Challenger Tour , however, he never made it past the second round. He completed his last professional match in mid-2014 and has since been listed as inactive by the ATP.

On October 8, 2019, he was found dead in his Moscow apartment after an alleged suicide .
