The Delray Beach International Tennis Championships 2009 was a tennis tournament that took place from February 23 to March 1, 2009 in Delray Beach . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2009 and was played outdoors on hard courts. In the same week the Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships were played in Dubai and the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco . However, in contrast to the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships, which belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category, these belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

Last year's individual winner was Kei Nishikori , who did not take part in the tournament again this year. The individual competition won Mardy Fish , in the final he was able to defeat Evgeni Koroljow in two sets with 7: 5, 6: 3. This was the third single title for Fish at the ATP level. In doubles, Max Mirny and Jamie Murray were the defending champions, who both competed this year with a different partner. While Mirny was eliminated in the first round, Murray lost his quarter-finals. In the final, the brothers Bob and Mike Bryan won in two sets against Marcelo Melo and André Sá 6: 4, 6: 4.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 442,000; total financial liabilities were $ 500,000.
