The Serbia Open 2009 was a tennis tournament that took place from May 4th to 10th, 2009 in Belgrade . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2009 and was played outdoors on sand. In the same week the Estoril Open was played in Oeiras and the BMW Open in Munich , which, like the Serbia Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category . This year the tournament was played for the first time after it replaced the Amersfoort tournament .

In the final, the first seeding listener Novak Đoković met the lucky loser Łukasz Kubot . Đoković decided the final 6: 3 and 7: 6 0 for themselves. He won the 13th title of his career. In doubles, the duo of Kubot and Oliver Marach won against Johan Brunström and Jean-Julien Rojer in straight sets 6: 2 and 7: 6 3 . This was the second tournament victory for the two of them this year after they had already won in Casablanca .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each got a bye into the second round. The total prize money was 398,280 euros, the total financial liabilities were 450,000 euros.
