Marko Đoković ( Serbian - Cyrillic Марко Ђоковић , other transcription Marko Djokovic ; born August 20, 1991 in Belgrade , Yugoslavia ) is a Serbian tennis player . He is the younger brother of multiple Grand Slam winner Novak Đoković and the older of Đorđe Đoković , who is also a professional tennis player.
Career
Marko Đoković mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . So far he has celebrated a single and a double victory on the Future Tour. He made his debut on the ATP World Tour in July 2007 at the Studena Croatia Open in Umag , where he received a wild card in the doubles competition with his brother Novak Đoković and competed in the first round of the main field against Mathieu Montcourt and Édouard Roger-Vasselin . They lost the game in two sets with 5: 7 and 1: 6. A year later he also made his debut in the individual competition. He received a wild card for the tournament in Bangkok , but lost his first round game against Jarkko Nieminen in straight sets. He celebrated his first victory in May 2009 at the ATP tournament in Belgrade , when he surprisingly defeated the duo Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjić in three sets together with Darko Madjarovski in the first round . In the quarter-finals, they ultimately failed to Johan Brunström and Jean-Julien Rojer in two sets.
