The Kremlin Cup 2012 was a women's tennis tournament of the WTA Tour 2012 in the Olimpijski in Moscow . The hard court tournament in the Premier category took place from October 15 to 21, 2012 parallel to the BGL BNP Paribas Luxembourg Open 2012 .

The defending champions were Dominika Cibulková in singles and the pairing Vania King / Jaroslawa Schwedowa in doubles. In the women's singles, Caroline Wozniacki defeated top seeded Samantha Stosur 6: 2, 4: 6, 7: 5 in the final . Victory in doubles was secured in a purely Russian final by the pairing Jekaterina Makarova / Jelena Wesnina , which Marija Kirilenko and Nadja Petrowa defeated 6: 3, 1: 6 [10: 8]. With their participation in the finals, Kirilenko and Petrowa secured fourth and last place in the season final tournament, the WTA Championships 2012 in Istanbul .

The qualification for the Kremlin Cup 2012 took place from October 13th to 15th, 2012. Four places were played out for the main field of the individual competition.
