The Nuremberg Gastein Ladies 2012 was a tennis tournament that was held from June 9th to 17th in Bad Gastein parallel to the AEGON Classic 2012 tournament in Birmingham . It was part of the WTA Tour 2012 as a tournament in the International category .

The defending champion in the singles was the Spaniard María José Martínez Sánchez , who did not appear to defend the title. Alizé Cornet from France won the tournament against the Belgian Yanina Wickmayer in straight sets. The defending champions in doubles were Eva Birnerová and Lucie Hradecká from the Czech Republic. Eva Birnerová made it to the round of 16 with a new partner, Lucie Hradecká, on the other hand, did not start again. In the final, Jill Craybas and Julia Görges won just under three sets against Anna-Lena Grönefeld and Petra Martić .

The tournament field in singles consisted of 32 players. 16 teams contested the doubles competition.
