Sacha Jones (born November 8, 1990 in Auckland ) is a former New Zealand - Australian tennis player .

Career

With a wildcard , she started doubles at the Australian Open in 2012 and reached the second round. In 2013 she was eliminated there in the first round in the singles. Between 2007 and 2010 she played 16 games for the New Zealand Fed Cup team , with a balanced record .

After winning the New Zealand championships in late December 2013, Sacha Jones announced her retirement; she justified her step with persistent injuries. For the win at the New Zealand championship, she received a wildcard for the qualifying round at the ASB Classic 2014 in Auckland; her quarter-final game in doubles there was her last appearance as a professional player for the time being.

In 2015 she started again in the qualification at the ASB Classic ; But she already lost her opening game against An-Sophie Mestach 3: 6, 0: 6.
