The ASB Classic 2014 was a WTA hard court tennis tournament for women in Auckland . As a tournament in the international category, it was part of the 2014 WTA Tour . The tournament took place from December 28, 2013 to January 4, 2014 parallel to the tournaments in Shenzhen and Brisbane .

The defending champion in singles is Agnieszka Radwańska and in doubles the pairing Cara Black / Anastassija Rodionowa . The Serbian Ana Ivanović secured her first title of the 2014 WTA Tour in the final against the American Venus Williams . In doubles, the unseed pairing Sharon Fichman / Maria Sanchez won against Lucie Hradecká / Michaëlla Krajicek, who were third .

qualification

The qualification for the ASB Classic 2014 took place from December 28th to 30th, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
