Paula Kania (born November 6, 1992 in Sosnowiec ) is a Polish tennis player .

Career

Kania, who prefers hard courts according to the ITF profile, began playing tennis at the age of seven. Her greatest success so far was winning the title on September 15, 2012 at the WTA tournament in Tashkent in the doubles competition. In addition, she has won five singles and twelve doubles titles at ITF tournaments.

With her finals at the hard court tournaments in Istanbul and Stanford , she made a leap into the top 100 in the double world rankings in August 2014. In May 2016, she reached her previous career high with 58th place.

In 2014, she was in the second round of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in the double competition of the US Open . In 2015 she reached the round of 16 at the French Open .

In February 2013 she played for the first time for the Polish Fed Cup team ; their Fed Cup record has one win and five losses.
