Katarzyna Kawa (born November 17, 1992 in Krynica-Zdrój ) is a Polish tennis player .

Career

Kawa, who started playing tennis at the age of seven, has so far mainly played on the ITF Women's Circuit, where she has won seven singles and 13 doubles titles so far.

Her greatest success so far was reaching the final of the Baltic Open 2019 , where she played her way into the final as a qualifier and was only barely defeated by top seed Anastasija Sevastova in three sets with 6: 3, 5: 7 and 4: 6.

Katarzyna Kawa played in the German tennis Bundesliga in 2010 for the TC Blau-Weiss Berlin , in 2012 for the Lintorfer Tennis Club and since 2014 for the club on the Alster Hamburg , with which she was promoted to the 1st division in 2015 and relegated in 2018 .

In 2016, Kawa played for the Polish Fed Cup team . In the match against Taiwan she lost together with Klaudia Jans-Ignacik against the Taiwanese pair.
