Hélène Scholsen (born January 9, 1996 ) is a Belgian tennis player .

Career

Scholsen started playing tennis at the age of six. She mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has already won five singles titles and eight doubles titles.

She played her first professional tournament in March 2012 in Le Havre. In April 2013 she reached the qualification round at the tournament in Ashkelon, Israel , which earned her the necessary number of points for her first-time entry in the world rankings . In September 2013 she reached the quarter-finals of the Huy tournament , which she lost to Nina Zander 3: 6 and 1: 6. In April 2015 she was defeated in the semifinals of the tournament in Ponta Delgada by the Spaniard Georgina García Pérez 5-7 and 2-6. In June she reached the semifinals again in Tel Aviv , where she lost to Ofri Lankri 2: 6 and 4: 6. She reached her first individual final in May 2016 in Szczawno-Zdrój , Poland , where she lost to Anastasija Schoschyna 3: 6, 6: 4 and 4: 6. Scholsen achieved her first tournament victory in singles in August 2016 when she won the $ 10,000 Rebecq Ladies Trophy tournament in her home country .
