Ann Li (born June 26, 2000 in King of Prussia , Pennsylvania ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Ann Li started playing tennis at the age of five and prefers grass courts. She mainly plays tournaments on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour , where she has won two singles tournaments so far.

In June 2016, Li played her first professional tournament in Buffalo. In late July 2017 she won her first ITF tournament in Evansville ; in the final she defeated Marcela Zacarías 4: 6, 6: 4 and 6: 3.

She started in 2016 in the junior women's competitions at the US Open in the US Open and doubles . In 2017 she competed in the junior singles and doubles competitions at Wimbledon . In the singles she reached the final against Claire Liu , against whom she lost 2: 6, 7: 5 and 2: 6. She also competed in singles and doubles at the US Open . In the junior doubles she reached the quarter-finals with her partner Elysia Bolton .

She received a wildcard to qualify for the women's singles at the US Open 2017 , but failed in the first round against Viktorija Kamenskaya with 4-6 and 5-7.

In 2018 she started at the Dow Tennis Classic in Midland, where she failed in the first round against her compatriot Sachia Vickery 6: 7, 4 and 1: 6. At the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells , she received a wildcard for qualification , but lost her first round match against Monica Niculescu 3: 6 and 0: 6.
