Usue Maitane Arconada (born October 28, 1998 in Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an American tennis player .

Career

Arconada prefers hard courts and so far has mainly played on the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has so far won three tournaments in singles and five tournaments in doubles.

At the 2013 Citi Open , she received a wild card for qualification . She won her first game against María Irigoyen , but then failed in the qualifying round to her compatriot Alexandra Mueller . At the US $ 25,000 ITF tournament in Baton Rouge , she reached the semi-finals, which she lost to Danielle Lao 4-6 and 4-6.

In 2015 she received a wildcard to qualify for the US Open 2015 . She failed there in the first round against the Spanish María Teresa Torró Flor with 0: 6 and 5: 7.

In 2016 she started with a wildcard at the Citi Open and reached the round of 16 with a victory over Françoise Abanda , in which she was defeated by Julija Putinzewa 4: 6, 6: 4 and 4: 6. In qualifying for the US Open 2016 , Arconada won her first round match against Lee Ya-hsuan in three sets, before losing to Sara Sorribes Tormo in three sets in the second qualifying round .
