The Citi Open 2013 was a women's tennis tournament of the WTA Tour 2013 in Washington DC. The hard court tournament in the International category took place from July 27th to August 4th, 2013.

The tournament winner in the individual last year was the Slovak Magdaléna Rybáriková , who defended her title with a final victory over Andrea Petković . The defending champions in doubles were Shūko Aoyama and Chang Kai-chen ; This time Aoyama won the tournament with her new partner Wera Duschewina .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 15 pairs.
