The 2013 Bank of the West Classic was a tennis tournament held in Stanford from July 20-28, 2013 . It took place parallel to the Baku tournament.

The defending champions were Serena Williams in singles, in doubles Marina Eraković together with her partner Heather Watson . Neither Williams nor Eraković and Watson competed in 2013.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in round one.

qualification

The qualification for the Bank of the West Classic 2013 took place from July 20-22, 2013. Four qualifying places were played out for the individual, which entitle them to participate in the main field of the tournament.
