The Open GDF Suez 2013 was the 21st edition of the tennis hard court tournament in Paris . It was part of the 2013 WTA Tour as a premier category tournament . The tournament took place from January 28th to February 3rd, 2013.

Another women's tournament in Pattaya as part of the international category of the WTA Tour 2013 also took place from January 28 to February 3, 2013.

The defending champion in the singles Angelique Kerber could not defend her title due to an injury. Last year's double winners did not defend their title either, but Liezel Huber entered with a new partner and was able to advance to the final.

The winner in the singles was the unset German Mona Barthel , who defeated the top ten player and top seed Sara Errani 7: 5, 7: 6 4 in the final. She was able to win her second WTA title and first premier title. In doubles, Errani and her partner Roberta Vinci prevailed against Liezel Huber / Andrea Hlaváčková 6: 1, 6: 1.

The qualification for the Open GDF 2013 took place from January 26th to 28th, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
