Pauline Parmentier (born January 31, 1986 in Cucq , Pas-de-Calais ) is a French tennis player .
Career
At the age of six, Pauline Parmentier began playing tennis with her family. In 2000 she completed her first match on the ITF Women's Circuit . She has already won ten singles and three doubles titles at ITF tournaments.
She secured her first title on the WTA Tour in 2007 at the tournament in Tashkent , where she defeated Viktoria Azaranka in two sets in the final. In her second WTA tournament victory in Bad Gastein in 2008 , she defeated the Czech Lucie Hradecká 6: 4 and 6: 4 in the final . In 2018 she won the WTA tournament in Istanbul 6: 4, 3: 6, 6: 3 against Polona Hercog .
At the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 Parmentier lost her first round game against Dominika Cibulková from Slovakia, who was in 16th place, with 1: 6 and 5: 7.
She has competed for France in the Fed Cup since 2008 . In their Fed Cup balance sheet are seven wins and 14 losses.
