Selima Sfar ( Arabic سليمة صفر, DMG Salīma Ṣafar ; * July 8, 1977 in Tunis ) is a former Tunisian tennis player .

Career

Sfar, which began with the sport of tennis at the age of eight, took Tunisia to the 1996 and 2008 Olympic Games in part. From 1992 to 2006 she was also a member of the Tunisian Fed Cup team , for which she played 65 games (41 wins).

In her career, Selima Sfar won eleven singles titles and, with changing partners, 21 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit . The Tunisian achieved her best placement in the single world rankings in 2001 with rank 75. In July 2008 she was listed in the double world rankings on rank 47.
