Marija Gesnenge ( Bulgarian Мария Гезненге , English transcription Maria Geznenge ; born March 13, 1977 ) is a former Bulgarian tennis player .

Career

Gesnenge, who preferred her hard court game, began playing tennis at the age of seven.

She won one singles and two doubles titles in the ITF Women's Circuit during her career . On the WTA Tour she was first seen in the main field at the Internazionali Femminili di Tennis di Palermo 2001 , together with Tetjana Kowaltschuk in doubles.

Between 1999 and 2004 she played for the Bulgarian Fed Cup team , where she was five times victorious in seven matches.

In 2006 and 2009 she was in the squad of the Großflottbeker THGC , which competed in the 2nd Bundesliga.
