Cucq ( . NDL Kuuk ) is a French municipality with 5121 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montreuil and the canton of Étaples . The inhabitants are called Cucqois .

Beach at Stella

The municipality of Cucq is best known for its seaside resort Stella-Plage on the Opal Coast of the English Channel . In addition to the beach village and the actual town of Cucq, the municipality also includes the village of Trepied . It is surrounded to the north by Le Touquet-Paris-Plage , to the east by Saint-Josse and to the south by Merlimont . The English Channel stretches to the west.

In 2012 the community was almost completely destroyed after floods and debris flows.
