The inhabitants are called Saint-Loupois .

Huby-Saint-Leu is located about 48 kilometers south-southeast of Boulogne-sur-Mer on the Ternoise River , which borders the municipality in the south. Huby-Saint-Leu is surrounded by the neighboring communities Cavron-Saint-Martin and La Loge in the north, Wamin in the north-east, Le Parcq and Grigny in the east and south-east, Marconne in the south, Marconnelle in the south-west, Guisy and Aubin-Saint-Vaast in the West as well as Contes in the northwest.
